Questions about the LinkXL Text Link System

We recently had a Blogline post that was talking about LinkXL being new to the community around the world. Some common questions were being asked and we thought this was a great opportunity to answer. You can find the post @ http://dotmyspot.com/home/content/view/467/9/

Selling Text Links on LinkXL: Another Text Link Broker

Thursday, 12 July 2007

LinkXLText Link Ads has always been the best link broker on my list. There are always alternatives to sell links online. I made a couple of sales on ReverseLinks.com but they have yet to credit the money to my account – that’s very BAD.I found another text link broker out in the market - LinkXL.com. A quick check on Alexa shows that they have been operational for more than a year now – they started operation on the first quarter of 2006. Lately they have huge traffic going though their site with an Alexa ranking of 59,000++.

Here are some quick facts about LinkXL:

1. Publishers get 60% while LinkXL gets 40%
2. They have a super high minimum payout of $100
3. They claim to cater blogs which do not have high Page Rank or traffic
4. You can sell links on your main page as well as sub pages
5. Payment will be made by checks or PayPal every 10th of the month

What I don’t like about LinkXL is you’ll need to install something into your website’s scripts just like Text Link Ads – the only thing about LinkXL’s script is that I don’t feel comfortable installing such a thing on my site. It might compromise security!

This might take some time just to review the site’s overall performance. But on the other hand, I don’t feel like participating on the site at all – particularly they have such a high minimum payout – you don’t have those on TLA or ReverseLinks. Lastly, there are no referral program which makes this rather unattractive.

What do you think about LinkXL?

Thanks for the great review! To answer a few questions…..

  • LinkXL is not a broker. LinkXL is a new automated system that allows YOU to find the relevant text in content that you would want a link from. Being in the link industry for a number of years we took many concepts from a broker’s point of view and eliminated the manual placement without compromising quality. Heck, we even made it possible to buy 20-30 relevant low PR cached links for dollars.

  • Our system places the links for you in publisher’s websites. Not a human or JavaScript.

  • The LinkXL system does not run on software in your server - there are a few compiled files to place in your root- that’s it.

  • The LinkXL system is not detectable by search engines or humans. Unless someone told you that you that they were running LinkXL, you would never know. Nothing shows up in the code of the website - just a natural organic link.

  • LinkXL is serious about the security of your server and website. Nothing is compromised. It’s safe and easy.

  • LinkXL caters TO ALL WEBSITES- Large and small. Blogs, personal home pages - if you want to make some revenue like with other affiliate systems out there - LinkXL is a great partner.

  • Costs: Yes there us a 60/40 split with the publisher being the winner.

  • Minimum Payout: There was no scientific system to payout at $100- we just thought that was the norm. Based on this feedback we are considering dropping it to $50 in August.

  • Terms: Unlike other advertising systems we don’t limit you to just our system. You can use LinkXL with others as well- “who are we to tell you how to make $$?”
