Why Contextual Links are Best
Text link advertising has become a serious threat to Google’s business model. Not only do paid links cut into Google’s advertising revenue, they can mess with their ranking algorithm. When search engines count unrelated links in the footer or sidebars of websites, the websites buying these links get an undeserved boost in the search engine rankings. I have seen travel sites buy footer links on software sites. These links are irrelevant and should not be, and are often not, counted by the search engines.
It just doesn’t make sense that buyers continue spend money on text link ads that have the odds stacked against them instead of buy contextual links that really work. But I guess looking for the easy way out is human nature, as well as link sellers willing to take naïve webmasters money for worthless links.
LinkXL’s patent pending technology makes buying contextual links in relevant content a snap. No longer are you regulated to spending money on sponsored links that are not doing anything positive for your site. One well placed contextual link on a relevant PR2 page is far more valuable then an expensive PR8 footer link on a site with its’ PR passing abilities blocked.. Slowly, many link buyers are coming to this realization and LinkXL is here to help.
